Applying to study in Ireland

Most colleges and universities in Ireland prefer international undergraduate students to apply directly to them. However, some colleges of universities may prefer that you apply to study in Ireland through the Central Applications Office (CAO). Contact the International Office or the Admissions Office of the colleges or universities which you are interested in, to find out whether you should apply through the CAO or directly to them.

The CAO provides an application pack, which gives information on how to apply. The CAO can be contacted at:

Central Applications Office
Tower House
Eglington Street
Galway
Republic of Ireland

Tel:+353 91 509800

Fax: +353 91 562344

Web: www.cao.ie/

Email: help@cao.ie

For admission to all postgraduate programmes in Ireland, you need to apply directly to the Graduate Studies Office at the institutions of your choice.
